A nice and to the day, and the one about photos.

The first day finished off on a much nicer note than it started…  It wasn’t looking good for a while with on and off rain for most of the journey.  By the time we reached the Wild Center, the sun was already starting to poke out from behind the clouds.  If you love the outdoors, I would highly recommend a visit to the museum.  A mere $15 buys you an incredible journey for the entire family.  I can’t recall a more family friendly museum; kids are actually encouraged to touch things and even take them home!

I love taking pictures, especially when I’m on vacation in the mountains.   The outstanding photo handling abilities of Wordpress was one of the reasons I chose this platform for our new blog offering.  But for someone who is known for taking gigabytes of pictures in a single day, I know that as nice as it is, it’s not enough for a serious picture taking fanatic like myself.   I’ve been looking at various photo site packages like Gallery 2 and Coppermine as a potential offering here at Boardoo.  What would you like to see here at Boadoo for your photos?   I would like to get your opinion.

Vacation continues… on our way.

We are finally on our to Lake Placid and a planned stop at the Wild Center; Adirondack Natural History Museum in Tupper Lake. I have a feeling that we are going to have a wet week if yesterday and today are any indication.

Blue Mountain Lake

On the bright side, we made it to Blue Mountain Lake!

Vacation begins… in the rain!

And so another year’s vacation starts and it is raining hard here in the Tug Hill.

Camp in the rain!

Which reminds me, support respone times will be a little slower for the next few days since we are both away. Rest assured though, we are still “minding the store” plus I plan to post occasionally throughout our long weekend too.
